Rolling
Code
When pressing the remote button a code is sent to the alarm. This code
is in turn verified by the alarm. There are two types of remote control
system; the fixed code and the rolling code. Persistent thieves have found
a way round the fixed code transmitters. Since fixed code transmitter
transmit the same code all the time it is relatively easy to reproduce
the code and switch off the alarm. A rolling code system provides an infinite
number of combinations and the code keeps changing all the time. A rolling
code system can not be copied and reproduce by car thieves.
Central Locking
Control
Gemini alarms are wired to control most factory fitted and after market
central locking systems. Some Japanese cars might need an extra central
lock motor to control the driver’s door. To verify if your car needs
an extra central lock motor try closing the locks from the driver’s
side. If the central locks closes all the other doors, than your car
is equipped with all the required motors. If not, you need to install
an extra motor, to enable the alarm to close all the doors.
Parametric Protection
Most cars have factory fitted pin switches that switch on the courtesy
light when the doors are opened. The alarm is connected to these switches,
and if a door is opened the alarm is immediately triggered.
Comfort System
Some European cars are equipped with a comfort system. If the door lock
barrel is kept on lock position for a few seconds using the key, the power
windows will go up automatically. The alarm can be wired in such way to
enable key less closure and window lifting through remote.

Modules
Gemini alarm systems provide an array of optional modules that can be
fitted to improve the functionality of the alarm. To mention a few there
is the Impact sensor, Ultrasonic Sensor, Window lifter, Anti tilt Sensors,

Passive Arming
The alarm can be set to switch it self on standby mode automatically once
the driver leaves the car without locking the doors. This feature is idea
for people with a busy and hectic life style because the alarm will take
care of it self.
Panic Function
By simply pressing button 2 while the alarm is armed you trigger the panic
mode. The alarm will sound and the indictor lights will flash. Attracting
attention on your car and scaring off potential threats.
Boot Function
In some cases an addition motor that opens the boot of the car may be
installed.
The boot is opened by pressing button 2 on your remote (Panic function
disabled)
The remote boot access comes in very practical if you have your hands
full with the shopping and need to open the boot of your car.
Flashing Indicators
Each time the alarm is switched on, off or triggered the indicator lights
blink producing a visual signal besides the caustic one. An application
of the flashing indicators may be finding your car in the parking lot.
Ignition Cut Off
Once the alarm is triggered the thief would not be able to start the car,
even if he has a copy of your keys.
Output for additional
siren
The Gemini Alarm system, when triggered, sounds the car horn for 15 sec.
After the 15sec the acoustic signal is switched off. The alarm will sound
the horn once again if the car is tampered with. An optional siren may
be installed substituting the horn during an alarm. A siren drains less
current from the battery and has the same output power of a horn 120db.
Garage Function
Gemini alarms are designed to drain the minimum amount of current from
your car. How ever if you intend to park the car for long periods of
time (more than 48hrs) the alarm will go on garage mode. This means that
the alarm will kind of hibernate, supplying power only to the essential
circuitry. It is needless to say that alarm ‘wakes up’ and
sound the alarm in a split of a second should it be required to.
Alarm Check
It is recommended that at least every 3 months the owners goes through
the alarm check procedure to verify that the alarm is working correctly.
Gemini alarms are designed to minimize false alarm and if manages the
deter thieves form tempering with the car an alarm might never trigger.
Alarm check is a dry run of the alarm system, and highlights potential
problems.
Alarm Memory
If the alarm is triggered a serious of light and LED signals will indicate
that the alarm has triggered and which sensor triggered the alarm. Suppose
you return to your car after a night out, switch off the alarm and notice
the alarm light signals. Everything looks fine but the Gemini LED signals
that the impact sensor has triggered the alarm. You inspect the bumpers
more closely and find scratches of paint left by the car parked in front

Ultrasonic Sensors
These are two small sensors placed on opposite sides where the roof meets
the windscreen pillars. The job of these sensors is calculating the volume
of the car’s interior cabin. If the sensors detect a change in the
cabin’s interior volume the alarm is triggered. A change in volume
is detected even if someone let’s in his hand through an open window.
One can switch off these sensors should it be required to leave pets
or small children in the car and switch on the alarm at the same time.
Siren
The piezo siren is very powerful. It reaches levels of 120db the maximum
acoustic signaling power allowed by the European Union. Although the casing
is water resistant, power washing the engine bay is not recommended.
Battery Backup
In a constant race to outsmart even the most daring of thieves Gemini
alarm system equipped with a battery backup siren will continue to operate
even if the car battery is flat or disconnected.
Impact Sensor
Low-tech analogue sensors are falsely triggered by wind, rain, exhaust
and loud noises. The Gemini state of the art electronic impact sensor
triggers the alarm only if necessary. Only if the digital signature of
a car impact is registered the impact sensor triggers the alarm. All noise
and interference are filtered out giving perfect peace of mind and no
false alarms.
Anti Tilt Sensor
Protect your precious shiny wheels. The Gemini Anti Tilt sensor will trigger
the alarm as soon as it detects that the car is being lifted off the ground.
GSM Pager
The GSM PAGER 7570 is a security system that can activate functions of:
ALARM, ANTIHIJACKING, and TELEAID in case of emergency phone calls.It
can be fitted together with an alarm unit or connected to a previously
installed one.
The GSM PAGER sends both SMS and calls up to 3 telephone numbers. In
the event of alarm, sends a SMS with the text “Alarm” (alarm
function) and calls the first number on the list. If it does not receive
confirmation of correct reception, it sends a SMS to the second and third
number on the list and begins a cycle of staggered calls. During the
phone call the engine immobilization can be cut. In case of hijack the
engine can be cut by telephone in a very simple and sure way.
The ant hijacking function can be activated when the alarm system is
disarmed and an attempt of stealing the vehicle is occurring; normally
this happens when there is at least a person on board. Such function
allows the user to activate the system through a telephone call and to
cut the engine. This is activated as soon as the built-in speedometer
detects that the vehicle has stopped. As teleaid, the pager has the aim
to signal a critical situation, and can be activated by pressing a button.
In such a case the system sends a SMS with the text “Help” to
all the stored numbers in the list, than begins a cycle of help calls

to point out that today’s advanced circuitry, once faulty cannot
be repaired the old fashion way. Faulty modules will be replaced with
new ones. During the warranty period of 12 months the replacement of
parts will be carried out on the same day you present the car at our
garage, at no charge. After the 12 months warranty period the replacement
of parts will be also carried out on the same day and the following charges
will apply:
